CORONAVIRUS: Latest updates here.
The home of musical theatre in Houston, Theatre Under The Stars is set to serve up a smorgasbord of theatrical delights during their exciting 2020/21 season. From the hotly anticipated pre-Broadway run of the revival of historical Tony-winning tuner 1776 to tropical romance, underwater adventure and beyond, their latest program promises high spirited nights on the town that won't soon be forgotten. Don't miss all-singing, all-disco-dancing smash hit Sister Act as it helps draw TUT's latest season to a climactic close.
A madcap adventure of the highest order, the beloved musical follows the antics of lounge singer Delores Van Cartier. Forced to hide out in a convent after witnessing a mob murder, Delores finds the strict new regime thrust upon her too repressive, but as she settles in she ends up helping the convent choir find its voice, all the while gaining a more tolerant and charitable outlook on life. But when the mobster comes looking, who will she choose?
Opening night: 2 November 2021
