The show was absolutely amazing! The whole time my family and I were excited by every act. The music, acrobats, and costumes were so beautiful. It's a must see while they're in town.

MESMERISING AND ACTION PACKED EXCITEMENT!
Wow! Mesmerizing! We sat in the second row for the 8 pm Houston performance of Alegria 11/13/2021 and were awestruck of all the talent that graced the stage! The first act were the “balance beam” gymnasts. Wow! Balancing on two sticks and 3 men high! The man sized “ring” was also amazing! He was able to do jaw-dropping stunts on the human sized ring, even placing his feet in it with hands behind his back! Hula hoop gal looked like a giant slinky toy meets contortionist! Another favorite was the Hawaiian fire thrower. Twirling two fire sticks at a time, I still have no idea how he did not catch himself on fire. He was definitely a professional - do not try this at home- type of a guy! Be forewarned! A snowstorm occurs right before intermission! Lots of fun audience interaction! I also enjoyed the flying trapeze acrobats and the romantic yet dangerous husband/wife team. I would not trust my husband to catch me with his feet! Yikes! Lastly, everyone has seen “strong man” routines. They are magnificent…. Buttttt what about a “strong WO-man” routine??? Me either… until tonight! These two dragonfly girls were fantastic! I could not get my eyes off of them. So limber and strong. Unique moves I had never seen before. Also, a major trust factor. I was curious if they were sisters. I also enjoyed the “Bro-mance” between the clowns! A great Comical side! I have seen many Cirque de Solei shows and mostly in Las Vegas. Alegria is one of my favorites, right up there with “O” and La Reve. All in all, two thumbs up and I definitely recommend seeing Alegria!

GREAT FUN
A quality big tent performance with an array of excellent acrobatic skills, music singing and comedy. The alcoholic drinks were super expensive but otherwise good support facilities.

PERFECT!
I was beyond surprised by the quality that cirque returned too. I've seen some negative comments, and I can not understand. The show was back to back acrobatics, the music was unbelievable, and all the characters were very likeable. The trapeze finally blew my mind. The entire production was incredible and well worth the money.

AMAZING BUT NO HIGH FLYING ACTS
As with all Cirque shows, my family & I were amazed by the talent, costumes & overall show of Alegria this evening. Certainly a family friendly show & a very intimate setting in the big top. I don’t think there’s a bad seat in the house!
Unfortunately it was a very hot night. I’m unsure if this was the reason why we didn’t get to see 3 acts (aerialists, cross ring & bars/trapeze). Of course we want all performers to be safe, but there was no mention anywhere that the show would be altered. As a result, the “story” was disjointed & lacked coherence. I wish they had some sort of disclaimer or acknowledgement at some point in the evening. A little disappointing when my girls were SO excited, specifically about the aerialist act.
Staff were all wonderful & kept smiling despite probably wanting to melt!

GOOD SHOW, POOR VENUE
The show was enjoyable but not amazing. I had seen another Cirque du Soleil show in Las Vegas, which had far more aerials and so much activity that it was hard to catch everything-- which made that show spectacular.
Perhaps the venue limited what the performers could do?
Even though I read the story line beforehand, it was not clear and frankly irrelevant.
The venue was uncomfortable and is the reason I would not go again. The air-conditioning was insufficient and the seats were narrow.
Fortunately, I'm slim, as were the people on either side of me. I could also see that heavier people were almost on top of their neighbors because the seats had no armrests.

THE ORIGINAL WAS SO MUCH BETTER
This re-make was disappointing in comparison to the original show! This one was less intense, didn’t tell the story, less colourful and too quiet. The monotone colour scheme was too boring. So disappointed, we felt nothing

SO DISAPPOINTING
It was not as I remember…no trapeze, the costumes were drab and monotone,, less theatrical makeup, no story. It is nothing like the trailer. It was so not exciting. So disappointing…doesn’t match the hype. Don’t waste your money.

BORING
I saw this in Portland Oregon. It was sooooo boring!! Most of the show was the clowns, and I really mean MOST of the show and they were super boring. There was NO aerials at all. They took down the trapeze type harnesses during intermission so I don’t know if there was a change of plan mid way through. All the acts were on the stage, there was a little trampoline type act and some people on some poles but other than that there was nothing above stage level. They also turned off the lights and sound in between acts so the transitions were even boring. The show was NOTHING like the videos that I have seen for this show. I have seen other cirque shows and they were magical but this one was a terrible disappointment. I don’t recommend it. Waste of money!

DISAPPOINTED
Took my kids for the first time. They were excited for the trapeze…. But there wasn’t any trapeze. The concessions ran out before intermission. A pretty terrible showing by cirque du soleil. Not worth the money…
