Houston Symphony - Eschenbach Conducts Mozart and Bruckner

Why see Houston Symphony - Eschenbach Conducts Mozart and Bruckner?

Viennese Pairing

Celebrated German conductor and pianist Christoph Eschenbach leads the Houston Symphony Orchestra through two classical masterworks from the city of Vienna! The ensemble kicks things off with Mozart's delicately wonderful Concerto for Flute and Harp, during which they spotlight Stathis Karapanos on the flute and principal harp Allegra Lily.

The latter part of the program then proceeds with one of radical Austrian composer Anton Bruckner's most epic works, Symphony No. 7. Premiered in Leipzig at the end of 1884, it was named in the BBC's Greatest Symphonies of All Time and was arguably his greatest ever success. A stunning program at Jones Hall!
