The Carpenter is a tale of unlikely love that goes wrong. Written by the author of hit play 'Hand to God,' the world premiere of this new production comes to Houston's Alley Theatre this season.

The story focuses on blue-collar man Dan and his Dallas native fiance. When Dan discovers a shocking secret about his family, all hell breaks loose and plenty of laughs are guaranteed.

The play is written by Robert Askins and comes after his fantastic production 'Hand to God' which gained five Tony Award nominations, including one for the best new play.

We happily suspended belief & enjoyed ‘ The Carpenter ‘ tonight very much & laughed out loud several times! The acting & comic timing was excellent; stunning set & great costumes.
