NOIR WITH A TWIST - A CAPTIVATING THEATRE EXPERIENCE!
From stunning sets, to infectious music that lingers in your head for days, complemented by amazing choreography, and an immensely talented cast. Excellent execution of a story that brings the light-heartedness to a still-tragic story of love and loss. The grander work is noir-meets-M. Night Shyamalan: the scenes between The Neighbor and Scarlet are imagined and recalled, perhaps with the lamenting depth of a more mature love, now lost - dialog with Scarlet reflecting this. While atypical on its face for dark and cynical "noir", you are warned early to "not believe everything you hear", and that includes trusting our narrators recollections, now presented through rose-colored glasses. In contrast, The Wife and The Lover have the spark of a new relationship that one expects: hot, sultry, intense. The climax reveals the truth, and the sad state our protagonist is left in -- still stuck chasing a love lost, but now with more problems -- a very noir conclusion.

We saw this new musical last evening and thoroughly enjoyed everything about the show! The singing, acting, drama, special effects, costumes and choreography were all fabulous! Very well done. The audience and myself gave the cast an immediate standing ovation as the curtain closed. Wow! I think we need to see it again!! Go and you will be entertained! Adult themes of drugs, sex and murder, inappropriate for kids under 18, that just my mom's opinion.
