an orchestra of Ukuleles?

Founded in 1985 by George Hinchcliffe and Kitty Lux, when George bought Kitty her first ukulele, and together they started to experiment with the sounds and harmonies of this most accessible of instruments.  Before long they invited some friends to join them in making tongue-in-cheek cover versions of some big rock classics and well known pop songs.  What started as a bit of fun rapidly took on a life of its own and became an 'orchestra' simply by the number of enthusiastic ukulele players that joined them in their quest to explore what this little, much derided, instrument could do.

Today this highly skilled and talented orchestra has no limitations when it comes to the instruments, highlighting every aspect and sound to create a beautiful atmosphere for you to get lost in. Songs that you thought you once knew, will be turned on their head and given a fresh new light, some that were made to be serious could become hilarious.
