Escape to Margaritaville

Closed November 5, 2017

With beaches, tropical scenery and the titular beverage, 'Escape to Margaritaville' aches of summer. It's a blissful escape from the mundanity of a fast-paced world as vacation grows closer each day.

Why See Escape to Margaritaville?

Pre-Broadway Tour

Jimmy Buffett has made his career from writing the perfect soundtrack for beach parties, and now his music heads into the theater! The story of a barman whiling away his days on a tropical island, Escape to Margaritaville heads out on a short pre-Broadway tour before hitting the Great White Way in 2018. Packing in all of Buffet's best known tracks, it's a guaranteed crowd-pleaser and sure to bring some sunshine to your day (whatever the weather outside)!

Kick Back and relax

Boasting a book by Greg Garcia (My Name is Earl) & Mike O'Malley (Shameless), and choreography by two-time Tony nominee Kelly Devine (Rock of Ages), Escape to Margaritaville is much more than just another jukebox musical. Among the many Buffett classics included in the show are 'Cheeseburger in Paradise', 'Come Monday', and of course, Jimmy's best known track from which the show takes its name. This pre-Broadway engagement is directed by two-time Tony nominee Christopher Ashley (Memphis, Rocky Horror Picture Show).

Picture crystal clear waves lapping at the shore, palm tress swaying in the breeze and the sun burning high in the blue sky, and you have Margaritaville. A holiday destination for anyone wanting to get away from it all, this island paradise is also home to Tully, a part-time bartender and singer-songwriter who thinks he's got it made. That is until a beautiful, career-minded tourist steals his heart, and makes him wonder if there's more to life than just taking it easy.
