Celebrate the brightest lights in film music!
The nominations are in and the annual build up to the 90th Annual Academy Awards has not only Hollywood elite, but cinephiles from all over the world atwitter. To celebrate the crowning jewel of the awards season, Principal Houston Pops conductor Steven Reineke has put together a program of the most memorable Oscar nominated and award-winning scores from the likes of John Williams, Ennio Morricone and Alan Menken.
Don't miss over 80 years of cinematic and composing history as the ensemble plays the nostalgic melodies of Somewhere Over The Rainbow, Moon River and The Way We Were before ascending to the exciting heights of modern James Bond classic Skyfall and the ubiquitous pop phenomenon that is Frozen's Let It Go. You'll be sure to leave the concert with stars in your eyes and ears ahead of the ceremony on March 4th.
