1993 comedy Picasso at The Lapin Agile is the humorous tale of Albert Einstein and Pablo Picasso meeting each other in a bar in Paris. Picasso at the Lapin Agile is a full-length play written by American actor, comedian, writer, producer, and musician Steve Martin in 1993.
The bar, called The Lapin Agile is the backdrop where the two historical figures have their egos and intelligence clash as they engage in conversation long before they have become world renowned legends. Set in 1900s Paris, the story takes place before each legend makes their undeniable mark on the world. It happens a short time before Einstein put forth his theory of relativity and Picasso became a noted figure by created the art movement cubism.
The show has previously seen multiple success being performed across the country which can be attributed to the Emmy, Grammy and American Comedy Award winning writer Steve Martin.
