Agree with Carol. I know the title implies people and the good and bad baggage we all deal with, but I'm left to wonder if the role of the mother (a masterful job with a depressing role) might have been too raw for families dealing with dementia. Was I the only person hyperventilating during that interminable last act. The Alley is still a terrific venue. I just wasn't ready for this.

Good acting, but a totally depressing play. It may portray real problems, like job loss, relationship failures, financial crisis, dreams lost, and debilitating health issues, but such a multitude issues for each character all laid open overiwhat is traditionally a celebratory meal (Thanksgiving) without resolution or path forward is nothing short of spiraling in depression. The highlight of the play was reciting “I’m thankful for” things while smashing the peppermint pig.
