This show has everything. Great acting, singing and choreography. It is as good as musicals get whether seen on Broadway or Vancouver. Words cannot do justice to the performance. The portrayal of Sky may never have been better and may never again be this good.

I’ve seen dozens of musicals in Chicago, New York and in many other cities. This show was as good as any show I have ever seen. Not hyperbole. Set and costumes were wonderful, dancing was terrific, Nicely, Nicely was great, the rendition of Rocking the Boat was fantastic. The four leads were excellent, Adilade, Sarah and Sky brought down the house with their singing, their performances were extraordinary. Cabaret scenes were beautiful and tastefully done. Could not recommend it more.

Saw the opening night of Guys and Dolls at Music Circus last night. Thought it was wonderful. When I lived in New York in the 90s, I saw Guys and Dolls 3 times when it was playing on Broadway with Nathan Lane, Peter Gallager, Faith Prince, and Adam Arkin. I enjoyed this production just as much. Because Music Circus is a theater in the round, there are few if any bad seats. Go. Enjoy. Don't miss this gem.

My husband and I attended opening night of Guys & Dolls and loved it! The performance was outstanding and the set magnificent! We sat on row LL (towards the back) and had a great view of the show. (because we were so far away we couldn't make out actor's faces well but still had a great view.) The biggest downside to sitting in the back is that people got up and left quite a bit. I have to say that I would think twice before bringing children to the show. The scenes at "The Hotbox" includes sexy performances by women in lingerie. The performances of Glenn Rainey (Nicely Nicely Johnson) and Megan Sikora (Miss Adelaide) were particularly outstanding! Personally I would recast for the role of Sky Masterson, but that's just me! Over all I would highly recommend this show and don't forget to go down to the front of the theater before the show to see the beautiful starry night ceiling!

Good but could be better

I love Guys & Dolls. Saw it on Broadway in 1992. The idea of moving it to Spanish Harlem did not bother me. While I'm not Hispanic, I speak the language. That said, I had the following problems with it: when singing the songs, either stay "in accent" or sing it without the "accent". Trying to do both did not work. Honestly, since the original songs were written to be w/out an accent, they work better when sung without the forced accent. Last night, there was more power behind the voices when the accent was abandoned. The dances of the 'Hat Box' girls: the choreography/performances were not sharp. The choreography of "Rockin' the Boat" was the best executed. The group dances in Havana, the worst. The chemistry between "Nathan" and "Adelaide" was far better than "Sky" & "Miss Sarah". The latter fell flat for me. Overall, I give it a B. I applaud the idea of being inclusive and trying something new.
